As President and Chief Technology Officer, Mahesh Kalva leads AI-Vets’ technology vision and ensures alignment across programs, partners, and delivery teams. He focuses on building secure, scalable platforms that translate strategy into measurable mission results.
Mahesh brings deep federal experience across large systems integrators and high-growth environments. Before co-founding AI-Vets in 2017, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Health at Leidos. Earlier, he held multiple senior leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, including Science and Engineering Head and Chief Technology Officer for Health and Life Sciences, International CTO and Tech Transition leader, and Director of Engineering for Enterprise IT and Data Solutions. His work has spanned strategy, R&D, cloud adoption, data and analytics, cybersecurity, and program execution for agencies such as HHS, CDC, SSA, FDA, and VA.
Mahesh holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry and a master’s in Computer Information Systems from Southern New Hampshire University. He has completed leadership development coursework at MIT Sloan and Carnegie Mellon and pursued graduate-level studies in Business Administration at the University of Pune. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Capitol Technology University and on the advisory board of Safely2Prosperity, supporting innovation and growth at the intersection of health, data, and security. His recognitions include Asian American Executive of the Year, Cloud Architect of the Year, and Entrepreneur of the Year. A Leadership Montgomery graduate, he is leader on pragmatic modernization for mission outcomes.
